Useful information

How much does asbestos slate removal cost?

The price depends on the area, slate type, site address and collection method (crane truck or container). The calculator shows indicative costs for removal, transport and disposal at a licensed landfill. Final disposal costs are based on the actual weight.

How much does an asbestos slate sheet weigh?

Approximately: a small corrugated VO sheet (1200×686 mm) about 10 kg, large corrugated sheets (1750 mm long) 20–25 kg, reinforced profile 25–35 kg, a flat facade sheet about 40 kg. A 100 m² slate roof weighs roughly 1.5–2 t. Old, wet or moss-covered slate weighs more; the calculation shows the amount for your roof.

Where can asbestos slate be disposed of?

Asbestos-containing slate is hazardous waste (code 17 06 05*). It must not go into household waste or a construction waste skip — only landfills with separate asbestos cells accept it. Transport and disposal are carried out by a licensed waste management operator.

How is the removal done?

The work is carried out by trained specialists in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 852 on labour protection when working with asbestos. Sheets are removed whole, wetted, packed in closed and labelled BIG BAG sacks and handed over for transport.

Crane truck or container?

A crane truck picks up the packed sacks directly from the site in one trip. A container is delivered to the site and collected later; it can also be loaded the same day. If the site has a narrow driveway or soft ground, choose a smaller load volume.
